It was a random Thursday night in November 2002 that BROTHERS PAST debuted a song called Red Rover at Rex’s in West Chester, PA. Written by Tom McKee, the song was unique because it incorporated dancehall rhythms and reggae influences. The song would go through several incarnations in the years to follow, most notably when reworked for a brief period as Collision Theory. This release marks the definitive version.

The Coney Island show took place on a sweltering night in June 2004 after an epic Phish show that featured a Jay-Z sit-in. Many people in the audience were seeing BROTHERS PAST for the first time that night, which in itself makes it a memorable show. We were just happy we got to play Shoot the Freak. Flaco put the show together. We’re still grateful. Lots of great stuff in this one. Enjoy!
